We had a couple of people email us yesterday. Apparently, Neptune played
live on 88.9fm WERS yesterday, and a few people were so blown away that they
pledged to be at River Gods tonight to show their support. Now that is lovely.
It does so happen that RG hosts it's last official eavesdrop tonight with our
umpteenth local project: the dynamite rock band Neptune. Definately something to
see live, their new album catches the pace and power for posterity. It's called
"The Ballet Of Process" and this evening the band drops by with the CD to sell,
a crateful of LPs to drop, and even special handmade cassettes. Experience the
unique Neptune ethos tonight at
eavesdrop.

:: December 17th, 2002: Neptune "The Ballet Of Process"
[Mr.]
God this is great. The old staff from Other Music
remembers seeing Neptune a couple of times at the Market Theatre and they always
blew our socks off. The frenetic, caustic but lovable clang of their act is one
of Boston's music secrets. The type you'll hear years later and say "They're
form Boston?" A kind of performance art, Neptune has fashioned their instruments
from scrap, and their playing is tight and wild. After their LP arrived
contained with a heavy metallic square, we thought they were up to no good. The
EP "Basement Tapes" confirmed our suspicions. Now they concoct a self-released
full-length, The Ballet Of Process. Dan the man spins before, while the groop
has secured the late-disco sound of Dave to make it a party. Specially
hand-made cassettes will be available as will the CD. We're
psyched.
