To say that the new release from underground-devotee Josh
Davis [DJ Shadow] is highly-anticipated
would be an understatement. His first CD [1997's "Entroducing"] is simply a
recording everyone should own. His newest: "The Private Press" does not
dissapoint. A fascinating treatise on hip-hop, Shadow's latest is boiling
over with head-nodding beats. Needless to say, with multinational
Island/Universal behind him, he'll be the subject of many an article and "The
Private Press" will be on many a year-end top 10 list. Come get an advance
sample. YOUR DJS: Mr. Breeze's record collection is sick as a dog, and Easy has
some laid-back rock grooves up the proverbial sleeve.
