A cover-free evening of new music, corresponding disc jockeys at Boston's most peculiar pub. The party continues at RIVER GODS each Tuesday night. This week: BELLE AND SEBASTIAN. With considerable worldwide fan support and anticipation, its clear why this still-underground pop phenomenon chose to create a soundtrack. Storytelling allows them to flex their creative minds without commitment. And, not surprisingly, the result is as pleasant and enduring as some of their best work. Get your Scottish-pop fix tonight at...

At the Orpheum a few weeks back, BELLE AND SEBASTIAN had the crowd clapping, swooning and singing along to their sweet jangly sound. Eavesdrop is proud to unveil their latest, a soundtrack to Todd Solondz's Storytelling. 34 minutes of B&S musical score and six new vocal tracks, it's everything you'd expect from these Scottish troubadours, and will be the perfect soundtrack to your evening.
DJ Crossword [a.k.a. Isaac Tilton] asked us if it was cool that he spin El DeBarge. We said yes. Come and see if we regret it. And if you haven't seen the Secrets band he's in, we would encourage you to do so. George has been a host on WZBC for over five years, and his radio shows have always knocked us flat. It's no different live.

Longtime Boston-based guitarist CHRIS BROKAW has maintained a consistancy in his work one could call sonorous. Now Chris follows such names as Alan Licht, Marc Ribot and Sue Garner in releasing a fluid, modern solo recording, reinterpeting the rock and avantgarde conventions he helped define and perpetuate. His subtle approach and style keep his music sounding fresh and new, but not alien. To call-attention to the release of his new CD, we invited him and his friends down to DJ. Lucky for us, they accepted.
:: 9pm - 10:30pm: Matt Kadane [New Year, Consonant]
:: 10:30 Featured Album:  CHRIS BROKAW "Red Cities" [Atavistic] Street Date: June 4th
:: 11:30pm - 1am: t.b.a.
